From his first contact with the geospatial industry while working for his father’s surveying company, Burkhard Boeckem has been fascinated by the power and capabilities technology can hold.
“I’ve always wanted to be creative and to shape things, to innovate and make a positive impact on people’s lives,” Boeckem said.
Now serving as the chief technology officer of a global tech company, Boeckem sees the CTO’s role as incredibly important in today’s business world. It’s no longer enough to be technical, you also need to have business acumen.
“My main focus at Hexagon is supporting our customers in industries such as construction, manufacturing and mining to empower an autonomous future,” he said. “Our goal is to remain at the forefront of autonomous innovation.”
